Ron is a graduate of the University of Illinois and former marching member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. He is entering his 14th year as a Mustang! As Director of Bands for the Lakewood Ranch High School band program, Mr. Lambert conducts the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, 9th grade Concert Band and runs both the Advanced and Intermediate Jazz Bands. He arranges for the groups and collaborates with other professionals to produce the Marching Mustang Band visual and music design and program coordination.
While a member of the Marching Illini, University Wind Ensemble and Cavaliers, Ron studied with esteemed educators such as James Keene, Gary Smith, Jim Campbell, Bret Kuhn and Joe Cartagena. His first 6 years of teaching in Florida were as an Associate Director at the University of South Florida where he ran the USF Show Band, Basketball Band and Athletic Bands (Marching Band) Percussion including the Herd of Thunder Drumline and Indoor Percussion Theater. He served as Assistant Director at LRHS for 6 years and as Director of Bands at Southeast High School in Bradenton for two years.
Ron spent several years as a Faculty member of the Music For All/Bands of America Summer Symposium Leadership Camp along side such great leadership trainers as Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, Fran Kick and Scott Lang. He has also participated as an instructor and arranger for many nationally recognized marching band programs in Florida, Texas and California and for several drum and bugle corps around the country. He is a professional drummer who has many recording and touring credits and over 25 years of private and curricular education. His artist endorsements include Yamaha, Remo, Zildjian and Innovative Percussion.
Ron is a two-time Lakewood Ranch Fine Arts teacher of the year. He is a 2016 and 2017 Best and Brightest Teacher Scholarship Award recipient and is a GRAMMY nominee, finishing as a Quarterfinalist for the 2017 GRAMMY Educators Award. His professional affiliations include FBA, FMEA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, DCI, WGI, FMBC, FFCC and MFA/BOA.
Ron resides in Apollo Beach, Florida with his wife Karyn. He has two children, Jessykka and Brandon, a granddaughter Zoë, and his loyal dog, Ned.
Assistant Director of Bands, Lakewood Ranch
Mrs. Kristin Greene is a proud graduate of Stetson University in Deland, FL. She studied clarinet with Dr. L. Musco and Music Education with esteemed educators such as Bobby Adams.
Mrs. Greene is excited to continue her career at Lakewood Ranch High school after teaching elementary music for 10 years, most recently having been the music specialist for Rogers Garden Elementary in its inaugural year, and Kinnan Elementary.
As Assistant Band Director at Lakewood Ranch High School, Mrs. Greene will conduct and teach classes.
Her professional associations include FBA, FMEA, Sigma Alpha iota.
Kristin is happy to call Parrish home, with her talented and supportive husband Rob, and together they have three precious daughters, Charlotte, Harper, and Natalie.
Kristin has had many non-music hobbies and skill sets. She has been a triathlete, a long distance cyclist, a private pilot, and Les Mills group fitness instructor.
