Mustang Marching Band

We are getting better every day. We had an amazing experience at Palmetto and a productive Saturday MMB Camp. I am so proud of the work it took to experience our first run-through Saturday! I think those in attendance were surprised at how much the show has evolved at this early point in the season. The pace will only INCREASE band – we have reached our intermediate goals but it is really the State Championship Results that Matter!

Keep working hard and your weaknesses will become strengths. YOU CAN DO IT. I believe in YOU. I know I can be demanding, but that is love.

Four very important rehearsal days this week and then our first FMBC Regional Saturday!

It’s time to put your hard work on display. Hurricane Hermine took a Thursday rehearsal, Friday game performance and 1-8 mini-camp away from us. I hope to regain some of that critical rehearsal time this week. In order to be fresh and potent on Saturday it is important for us to get the work done M-F. Since we have a football bye week, ALL SECTIONS WILL HAVE SECTIONAL REHEARSAL FRIDAY 2:30-5PM. Look for a VERY detailed message by Tuesday outlining all procedures for the Competition Day. OUR DAY SATURDAY WILL BEGIN AT 1pm.

Tuesday: 6pm rehearsal. SNN news is featuring us – make sure your drill shirt is clean!

Wednesday: DOT BOOK check off, 0-46. (If you don’t pass, you don’t march Saturday)

Thursday: 6pm rehearsal (Full PROPS - Ranch Hands going Saturday, 7:30pm call)

Friday: Sectionals for all MMB sections 2:30-4, Ensemble 4-5

Saturday: 1pm rehearsal in Stadium, load, leave. Perform, attend awards, return.

100% attendance needed, 110% effort expected!

Please sleep, eat healthy and Hydrate! Count on significant outside time.

Be ready with water bottles, bug spray and proper rehearsal attire.

The details listed above are there for you so that your band experience can be POSITIVE and ORGANIZED. YOU are responsible for everything outlined in the MMN. Help us ALL have a great year by taking care of YOUR personal needs and by being ACCOUNTABLE for the guidelines of the LRHS Band Program.

Your director and staff work hard for you because we BELIEVE in YOU!
